Materials that travel well
Looking beyond appearance to tactility, wear, cleaning, repair and graceful ageing.

Beauty is only the first test
A material inside an expedition vehicle is touched, heated, cooled, loaded, cleaned and sometimes repaired far from the workshop. Its value comes from how it behaves through that whole life.
Leather grain, textile weave, edge details and hardware finish should be selected alongside wear, cleanability and access.
Design for maintenance
Panels that conceal systems need deliberate access. High-wear surfaces need replaceable or repairable strategies. Samples should be viewed under the light in which the cabin will actually be used.
Let materials age honestly
The aim is not to keep every surface looking untouched. It is to choose a palette that develops character without losing integrity.
